DESCRIPTION: LPW - Racine, Swiss, 39mm, 18K gold (tested) OF recase with spectacular polychrome enamel floral detail throughout, gold cuvette with a plugged hole, engine turned silvered dial, KWKS, cylinder escapement, 10J, gilt mvt, s#2526 within case. Watch includes a gold and enamel key as well as a period leather box marked to a London retailer. Gross weight of assembled watch 22.1 dwt (34.3 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, good overall gilt tone though with scattered haze spotting, few fine to micro-fine scratches, oxide to setting arbor escutcheon; dial with darker mark inside 10, black color of hour numerals appears to have been re-touched, some mild darkening of perimeter; excellent hands; case shows little wear, no dents or dings, enameling largely intact with its most notable losses being at several areas of rear perimeter, enameling with scattered surface scratches, cuvette with an evident plugged keyhole and with faint remains visible of an engraved arrow around this area indicating correct winding direction; tight bow though with high majority of its enameling lost; good glass crystal. Box shows ample wear, fracture and associated separation to joint at rear-right of upper portion, areas of loss to exterior leather.
